Sterile Processing Tech I (Part-Time, Days)

The Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for the care and maintenance of reusable surgical instruments and patient care equipment by performing decontamination, packaging, sterilization, handling and storage activities. The role involves selecting appropriate cleaning and sterilization methods, maintaining accurate documentation, and contributing to service excellence in peri-operative suites. The technician assists with room set-ups, turnovers, stocking, inventory, and training of new employees. The position also includes ordering and stocking anesthesia and sterile processing supplies for the Same Day Surgery unit.
