About this role

This apprenticeship role combines paid on-the-job training with in-person classes on a hybrid schedule to prepare candidates for a career as a Sterile Processing Technician. Apprentices work closely with team members to manage the full instrument processing workflow, including decontamination, sterilization, and inventory tracking, while adhering to strict healthcare regulations. Upon successful completion of the 18-week program, participants are eligible for hire as a full-time sterile processing technician.

Responsibilities

Complete safe instrument processing workflow including decontamination and sterilization
Operate and maintain Sterile Processing Department equipment
Manage surgical supply inventory and distribution across hospital sites
Validate biological and chemical sterilization testing procedures
Maintain accurate documentation per State and Federal regulations

Skills

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GEDCentral Processing Certification from HSPA
