Sterile Services Technician

This role is responsible for the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment within the surgery service. The position ensures compliance with infection control and safety standards, including Department of Health, OSHA, CDC, and AORN guidelines, while maintaining accurate records and quality control. The technician supports asset management, coordinates with materials departments, and provides resources to nursing staff regarding proper sterilization techniques.
