Streetworks Inspector

Somerset Council is hiring a Streetworks Inspector on a 21‑week temporary contract to inspect live street works and completed reinstatements across Somerset. The role involves ensuring compliance with NRSWA, permit conditions, SROH and safety codes, using handheld devices to record findings, and liaising with statutory undertakers and the public. It is primarily remote/field‑based with occasional office attendance for training and meetings.
