About this role

The Coor - Stroke Outreach is a registered nurse responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with WellStar system hospitals, outlying facilities, and EMS carriers to implement a system-wide cerebrovascular management pathway. This role involves providing immediate feedback on patient outcomes, educating staff on teleneurology protocols, and supporting data collection for the Stroke Registry to improve care quality and transfer times. The position requires collaboration with medical directors, advanced practice nurses, and community health divisions to enhance stroke prevention efforts and public education programs.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain partnerships with hospitals and EMS carriers for stroke care
Implement system-wide cerebrovascular management pathways and triage protocols
Provide immediate feedback on patient outcomes to referring practitioners and EMS
Educate staff on teleneurology protocols and facilitate telestroke connectivity
Review stroke admission records for data collection and quality assurance
