The Structural Systems Design Engineer supports the Mechanical Integrity Engineering team by analyzing proposed designs to ensure robustness and compliance with requirements. The role involves conducting aerothermal, acoustic, and structural mechanical design activities and experiments, while applying Robust Engineering principles to optimize system performance. Engineers also solve complex technical problems using interdisciplinary knowledge, manage technical packages against program milestones, and act as subject matter experts within their discipline.

Responsibilities

Conduct aerothermal, acoustic, and structural mechanical design and analysis
Prepare and supervise mechanical experiments on test rigs and engines
Resolve technical problems using evaluative judgements and engineering expertise
Manage technical packages and investigations to meet program milestones
Act as a subject matter expert providing advisory services to customers
