Orbital Operations
As a Structures Design Engineer, you will play a key technical role in shaping engineering standards for pressurized structures, thrust frames, and integrated fluid systems. You will serve as the Responsible Engineer for major vehicle subsystems, owning the hardware from initial requirements through design, development, analysis, fabrication, testing, vehicle integration, and flight. This hands-on role requires close collaboration across disciplines with engineers and technicians to move quickly and build and test hardware.
Orbital Ops develops high-thrust, cryogenic-powered orbital spacecraft engineered for rapid maneuver, interception, defense, and on-orbit repositioning. Their Astraeus vehicle family is designed to deliver high delta‑v and mission‑speed responsiveness for LEO–GEO operations and payload hosting in space security applications. The company presents itself as defense‑ready and focused on deep engineering, fast iteration, and bold thinking to shape the next era of orbital operations. Orbital Ops combines advanced propulsion and systems engineering to provide responsive orbital maneuvering and defensive capabilities for government and commercial customers.
