About this role

Axiom Space is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, test, and evaluation of structural and mechanical components for the first commercial space station. The role involves executing the engineering product lifecycle, performing preliminary analysis, overseeing manufacturing, and mentoring junior engineers within a fast-paced environment. This position is based onsite at the Space Station Development Facility in Webster, Texas.

Responsibilities

Own design and development of structural and mechanical components
Execute engineering product lifecycle and hold design reviews
Perform preliminary analysis using free-body diagrams and FEA
Oversee manufacturing and assembly of hardware
Mentor junior engineers and support peer reviews
