Cal Poly Partners
The Student Assistant supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of student-focused talent development initiatives across Cal Poly Partners. This role involves developing a comprehensive internship program aligned with Cal Poly's Learn by Doing philosophy, creating meaningful professional development experiences for students, and collaborating with Human Resources, department leaders, and stakeholders. The position provides hands-on experience in talent development, program management, organizational development, human resources, program assessment, and higher education administration.
Cal Poly Partners is the nonprofit auxiliary organization of California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), operating without state funding to provide essential university resources and services. They offer a wide range of services including dining, conferences, events, staffing, housing, real estate development, and economic development, while also supporting Cal Poly's 'Learn by Doing' philosophy through student employment and hands-on learning programs. As one of the largest employers in San Luis Obispo County, Cal Poly Partners reinvests all generated revenue back into the Cal Poly campus community.
