Substance Use Disorder Counselor

A Substance Use Disorder Counselor provides direct therapeutic and recovery services to individuals and families affected by substance use under the direction of a Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor. This role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, maintaining clinical records in compliance with DHS Chapter 75, and coordinating referrals for inpatient treatment or housing. Counselors also deliver community education on substance use and integrate mental health support for diverse populations.
