SUE Technician

The SUE Technician at LJA Surveying plays a critical role in supporting civil design, construction, land surveying, and infrastructure development projects by accurately identifying, locating, and mapping existing underground utilities. This position involves working closely with engineers, surveyors, and project managers to collect, interpret, and deliver utility data that supports SUE Quality Levels B through D, as defined by ASCE 38-22. The role requires using equipment such as ground penetrating radar (GPR), electromagnetic locators, and GPS to identify utility lines with precision.
