The ACLU of Utah is the state affiliate of the American Civil Liberties Union that defends civil rights and liberties in Utah through litigation, legislative advocacy, and public education. It works in the courts, at the state Capitol, and in communities to protect free speech, privacy, racial and immigrant justice, LGBTQ+ and reproductive rights, voting rights, and criminal‑justice reform. The organization mobilizes lawsuits, policy campaigns, grassroots organizing, and public outreach — relying on members, volunteers, and donors to advance and enforce constitutional rights.
