Cultural Survival is an international nonprofit (founded in 1972 and based in Cambridge, MA) that advocates for the rights, cultures, and self-determination of Indigenous peoples worldwide. It partners with Indigenous communities to support grassroots initiatives through advocacy, policy engagement, community media and radio programs, research, and small grants. Cultural Survival raises awareness and influences governments and international institutions on land rights, cultural preservation, and human rights while publishing reporting and resources to amplify Indigenous voices. It relies on donations and grants to deliver capacity-building, direct support, and global campaigning in defense of Indigenous cultural and political rights.
