About this role

The Summer 2027 Student Nurse Internship Program is a paid, skill-based clinical role designed to bridge nursing education and professional practice through RN preceptorship and interdisciplinary collaboration. Nurse interns gain hands-on clinical experience under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse in various hospital and ambulatory care settings. The program offers individualized placement to help students explore clinical specialties while building confidence and professional identity.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient care activities while adhering to best practices and protocols
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure compliance with Joint Commission regulations
Help maintain a safe and healing environment for patients and families

Skills

Qualifications

Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN)Completion of junior year coursework of a Bachelor’s Nursing Program OR two semesters of an Associates Nursing Program by summer 2027Enrollment and active participation in an approved internship co-operative course at an accredited nursing school in the state of employment for the summer semesterBasic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month of hire
