Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is a Florida-based nonprofit, founded and supported by the state’s sheriffs, that provides residential care, counseling and youth-development programs for abused, neglected and at‑risk children. Through a network of ranch campuses and community programs across Florida, they offer emergency shelter, long‑term residential treatment, academic support, life‑skills training, mentoring and therapeutic/recreational activities. The organization’s mission — “Mending Lives, Healing Hearts” — emphasizes family‑style care, education and character development to help young people find stability and success. FSYR is funded by donations, events and partnerships with law enforcement and relies on volunteers and public support to deliver services.
