The American Economic Association is a nonprofit, member-driven organization that advances the study and practice of economics. It publishes leading scholarly journals, including the American Economic Review, Journal of Economic Literature, and Journal of Economic Perspectives, and maintains EconLit, a comprehensive economics bibliography. The AEA supports economists with professional resources, career services, ethics and ombuds programs, and governance through multiple committees, in addition to hosting the annual meeting that brings researchers and practitioners together. Through its global membership of researchers, educators, and students, the association promotes economic research, education, policy analysis, and collaboration.
