About this role

The Surface Scientist Intern will support Micron's Surface Science team by applying surface science techniques to semiconductor devices and thin‑film materials. The role involves hands‑on work with advanced analytical instrumentation, data analysis, and the use of AI‑enabled tools to improve sample preparation, characterization methods, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Partner with Surface Scientists to evaluate and enhance sample preparation and analysis techniques
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to analyze data and identify process improvements using AI‑assisted tools
Document research findings through reports, presentations, and technical summaries using digital and AI‑assisted communication tools
