Surgery and/or Procedure Scheduler

Under the direction of the Manager, this role functions as a surgery and/or procedure scheduler responsible for answering multiple phone lines to schedule and coordinate times for patients for ancillary testing ordered by physicians at multiple locations. The position involves conducting professional patient interviews, obtaining demographic and biographical information, and processing registrations and scheduling in an efficient, accurate and timely manner. The scheduler coordinates dates, times, and types of hospital procedures as well as preparation of admission packets for each patient. The role also involves coordinating all supplies and equipment necessary for surgery/procedure and requesting and identifying all necessary records so that the records are available to the physician for the stated diagnosis as well as assuring that the patient is scheduled with the appropriate physician for this diagnosis.
