The Surgical Technologist Residency Student is a student who has not yet completed an accredited Surgical Technology program but is able to perform tasks in the surgical setting under the delegation of authority of a licensed health care practitioner and a staff Surgical Technologist preceptor. This experience will be educational, and the student will not function independently. The primary duties are outlined in WAC 246-939-030.
