Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, safety science, or a related technical fieldMinimum 5+ years of experience working in functional safety, system safety, safety engineering, system certificationDirect experience contributing to safety certification or approval for operation of rail, transit, aerospace, industrial, or similar complex systems, including safety case development, safety verification and validation, or regulator approvalWorking knowledge of relevant industry standards including one or more of IEC 61508, EN50126, EN50129, EN50128/EN50716, ASCE 21-21Experience working with authorities, independent safety assessors, or notified bodies on safety arguments, findings, and close-out of safety actions.
