About this role

The Systems Engineer will lead administration of Linux and Windows systems in secure, mission‑critical environments, providing Tier II/III technical support and managing server, storage, and virtualization platforms. Responsibilities include system hardening, performance monitoring, automation development, and supporting backup, disaster recovery, and security audits to ensure reliable operations.

Responsibilities

Lead administration of Linux and Windows systems in secure environments
Provide Tier II/III technical support and resolve hardware and software issues
Manage server, storage, and virtualization platforms such as VMware and KVM
Install, configure, harden, and patch systems to meet DoD STIG requirements
Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, and Python

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplineDoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP)Security+ CECISSPActive Top Secret clearance
