About this role

The Systems Engineer role at Netflix focuses on building and scaling the core infrastructure behind ads optimization within the Ad Serving & Decisioning organization. This position involves developing real-time ad decisioning systems, ML model serving infrastructure, and pacing mechanisms to balance revenue goals with member experience. The engineer will collaborate with Science and Platform teams to productionize models and improve developer velocity through reusable components.

Responsibilities

Build and evolve real-time ad decisioning path including ranking scoring bidding and pacing
Develop and operate ML model serving infrastructure supporting concurrent hot-path models with sub-20ms P99 inference
Implement and improve real-time pacing systems to drive budget delivery accuracy across campaign lifetimes
