About this role

LTA is seeking a Principal Systems Safety Engineer to serve as a senior individual contributor and technical authority within the Systems Engineering function. This role involves architecting and validating complex system-of-systems, owning system-level safety and certification strategies, and acting as a subject-matter expert during regulatory interactions. The position requires leading multidisciplinary teams, mentoring senior staff, and driving the integration and certification of lighter-than-air flight vehicles.

Responsibilities

Conduct system safety assessments and safety analyses per ARP4754A and ARP4761
Architect complex system-of-systems and integration approaches for vehicle programs
Lead certification strategy and serve as technical subject matter expert for regulatory interactions
