About this role

The Systems Test Engineer, Simulation at Serve Robotics is responsible for designing and executing simulation-based tests for the company's sidewalk robots, translating real-world autonomy requirements into reproducible test scenarios. This role involves scripting in Isaac Sim or Unreal Engine, automating testing processes with Python and Bash, and integrating these tests into CI pipelines for regression detection and metrics collection. Collaboration with teams across autonomy, QA, and release engineering is essential to ensure coverage and reliability, while also contributing to ML dataset creation and refining system-level KPIs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering4-6 years of work experience in robotics, autonomous systems, simulation, or system testingStrong Python skills2-4 years hands-on experience with Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine, Gazebo, or similar simulation environmentsKnowledge of config-driven workflows (YAML/JSON) and scripting (Bash)
