About this role
This is a one-year, full-time teacher residency at Rocketship Public Schools in partnership with Loyola Marymount University, designed for recent graduates and career changers entering the teaching profession. Residents train under an experienced mentor teacher in an elementary charter school setting while completing LMU coursework toward a California teaching credential, with an optional second year for a MA in Transformative Education. The role combines hands-on classroom experience with structured seminars, coaching, and graduate studies to prepare residents to lead their own classrooms. Upon successful completion, residents receive priority consideration for teaching roles within Rocketship California Schools.
