About this role

The Technical Lead – TCO Engineering at Baxter drives material and component cost reduction, supply resilience, and margin improvement through technical analysis and cross-functional collaboration. This role partners with Procurement, R&D, Operations, and suppliers to identify value engineering opportunities while maintaining product performance and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will lead end-to-end cost optimization projects, manage change control processes, and ensure technical validation to deliver life-saving products efficiently.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate total cost optimization opportunities across materials and processes.
Lead cross-functional technical teams through structured project execution and planning.
Drive specification optimization and alternate sourcing strategies to reduce costs.
Coordinate sample builds, trials, and testing for technical change execution.
Track initiatives from business case development to full savings handover.

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Materials, Plastics, Chemical, Packaging, or Manufacturing Engineering5-8+ years of professional experienceLean or Six Sigma Certification
