About this role

Rowan is seeking a Telecommunications & Network Infrastructure Design Engineer to develop and implement telecommunications standards across its data center portfolio. This role involves designing ISP/OSP systems, fiber backbone architectures, and structured cabling solutions while collaborating with engineering teams and external consultants. The ideal candidate will ensure scalable, resilient infrastructure by managing design reviews, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project execution from planning through commissioning.

Responsibilities

Develop telecommunications infrastructure standards for data centers
Design ISP and OSP systems including conduit pathways and fiber networks
Coordinate carrier access requirements and interconnection strategies
Review engineering drawings and construction documents for compliance
Support project execution from design through commissioning turnover
