The MLC collects, matches, and distributes mechanical royalties to songwriters, composers and publishers, operates and maintains a public musical works database, and manages unmatched royalties and dispute resolution. It also provides rights owners with registration tools, reporting, and a portal to claim works and track payments while working with digital service providers to improve accuracy, transparency, and timely royalty distribution.
