Red Hook Initiative (RHI) is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to creating change from within the Red Hook community. It supports youth leadership, education, workforce development, and community organizing through a center-based model and a range of programs. RHI focuses on resident-led solutions, offering peer supports and partnerships to address local challenges and reduce violence while expanding opportunities. Guided by the motto Creating Change from Within, the organization centers Red Hook residents in shaping a safer, more connected future for their neighborhood.
