The North Carolina Arboretum
The Horticulture Assistant will work in the Formal Gardens of the North Carolina Arboretum, performing hands‑on garden care such as planting, watering, pruning, mulching, and equipment operation. This part‑time, temporary role offers practical horticultural experience while supporting the Arboretum’s public garden spaces.
The North Carolina Arboretum is a public garden and educational institution nestled in the Southern Appalachian Mountains just south of Asheville, NC, offering acres of cultivated gardens, hiking and biking trails, and seasonal events. It provides youth, school, and adult education programs in horticulture, conservation science, and nature arts, as well as citizen science initiatives like ecoExplore.
