Prisma Careers
The Therapist Intern will join a multi-disciplinary team at Prisma Community Care to provide comprehensive behavioral health services, with a special focus on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and people living with HIV/AIDS. The role involves delivering psychotherapy, conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other professionals to support client well-being. Interns will also participate in community outreach, supervision, and mental health planning meetings.
Prisma Community Care is an Arizona Affirming Health & Wellness Center based in downtown Phoenix (formerly the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS) with more than three decades of service. They provide comprehensive, culturally competent primary care, mental health services, HIV/STI testing and treatment, care navigation, AHCCCS enrollment help, and lab-assistance to support whole-person wellness. Prisma focuses on affirming, compassionate care for 2SLGBTQIA+ people, people of color, those affected by HIV, and uninsured or underinsured community members, and also delivers outreach and community-based testing. Individuals can access services, volunteer, join the Patient Advisory Council, or support the organization through donations and events.
