About this role

A 36-month PhD research position jointly hosted by Thales Alenia Space in Toulouse and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. The project focuses on modelling broadband direct radiating arrays (DRAs) in the Ku- and Ka-bands, accounting for RF hardware imperfections, and developing end-to-end simulation frameworks for satellite payloads and traffic scenarios. The research will investigate optimal radio resource management techniques for LEO constellations to improve beam coordination, interference mitigation, and spectrum sharing.
