Tool and Die Maker

This role involves planning construction procedures and methods, including selecting materials, computing dimensions, and planning layout, machining, and assembly operations. The position requires setting up and operating various machine tools to machine parts and tooling to extremely close tolerances while verifying conformance to specifications. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and correcting problems in complicated dies and tools, as well as heat treating tool steels to required hardness specifications.
