The role involves planning operation sequences and machining methods to set up, adjust, and operate tool room equipment for constructing, altering, and repairing dies, tooling, fixtures, and gauges. The incumbent ensures maximum production uptime, minimizes labor and tooling costs, and adheres to quality and safety standards while training apprentices and coordinating with engineering.
