Transfer Station Operator I

Under immediate direction, operates equipment, performs routine inspections and maintenance, ensures compliance with safety regulations, and performs a variety of other tasks that support the daily operations of the Miami County Sanitary Engineering department. The role involves operating semi-tractors to transfer solid waste for disposal or recycling, assisting with loading and compacting waste, and processing materials for transfer or recycling. The position requires enforcing safety rules, assisting customers, and maintaining the grounds and facility. The employee must be able to interpret instructions, solve practical problems, and work as part of a team while meeting all job safety requirements.
