About this role

The Transportation Planner III supports the Train Control Upgrade Project by developing capital plans, managing budgets, preparing grant applications, and coordinating with stakeholders and contractors. Reporting to the Deputy Project Manager, this role also supervises other planners and contributes to policy, procurement, and communications efforts for the new CBTC system.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the capital plan for the Train Control Upgrade Project
Manage project budget, cashflow, and cost forecasting
Coordinate grant applications and funding agency relationships
Supervise and direct work of project planners and junior staff
Analyze train control system data and recommend operational improvements

Skills

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Planning, Transportation, Transportation Engineering, Public Administration or related fieldBachelor's Degree in Planning, Transportation, Transportation Engineering, Public Administration or related field
