Sound Transit
The Transportation Safety and Security Manager leads the planning, development, and implementation of safety and security programs for transit projects from planning through operations. Reporting to the Deputy Director, this role oversees staff, manages budgets and contracts, and coordinates with internal and external partners to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety certification requirements.
Sound Transit is a regional public transit agency serving the greater Seattle/Puget Sound area, operating Link light rail, Sounder commuter trains, and ST Express bus services. The agency is responsible for planning, building, and operating a regional transit network connecting communities across the region. Sound Transit is also expanding its system through the voter-approved Sound Transit 3 program, which includes light rail extensions to West Seattle, Ballard, Tacoma, Everett, and more.
