Under indirect supervision, the Treatment Plant Operator I participates in the operation and quality control of a Wastewater Treatment Plant, ensuring effluent quality meets Federal, State, and City regulations. The role requires working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime, and is classified as weather essential personnel. The operator is responsible for monitoring plant processes, collecting samples, performing tests, and maintaining equipment to ensure proper functioning.
