About this role

The API EM TS/MS Person-in-Plant (PIP) Scientist provides on-site technical leadership at contract manufacturing sites to ensure the reliable and compliant manufacture of API drug substances and intermediates to Lilly’s global quality standards. The role acts as a liaison between Lilly IPT/JPT teams and contract manufacturer process teams, applying pharmaceutical manufacturing principles and corporate systems. It supports product lifecycle activities including technical transfer, validation state assessment, and cross-functional coordination to meet regulatory and quality expectations.
