Turbomachinery Design & Systems Engineer

American Turbines is designing small modular gas turbines for distributed power generation, and this role owns the mechanical design of the engine from clean-sheet component layout through field survival analysis. The engineer will design rotors, stators, combustors, cases, and bearings, select materials, and define interfaces between mechanical, thermal, fuel, and control subsystems. This high-ownership position requires running structural, thermal, and rotordynamic analysis while collaborating with suppliers and machinists to ensure manufacturability.
