About this role
Underwriter I performs standard underwriting duties to review, analyze, and evaluate insurance risks for new and renewal policies. The role renders subjective decisions on acceptability of risks within underwriting policies and Exchange guidelines, escalating cancellation or non-renewal decisions to Underwriting Management. The position works closely with Sales and Management to accept, modify, or reject coverage as appropriate.
