About this role

The Underwriting Consultant will independently evaluate complex individual life insurance cases, including impaired risks, and make underwriting decisions up to a $3 million authority. The role involves analyzing medical, financial and non‑medical information, communicating decisions to internal and external stakeholders, and managing a caseload while maintaining quality and service standards. This fully remote position supports the Life Underwriting team and works closely with independent agents, brokers and internal partners.

Responsibilities

Underwrite individual life insurance cases including impaired risk
Analyze medical, financial, and non‑medical information to make underwriting decisions
Communicate underwriting decisions to internal and external customers
Build and maintain relationships with distributors, independent agents, and BGAs
Manage assigned caseload while meeting production, quality, and time‑service standards
