The Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit Patient Care Technician provides direct support to critically ill surgical, trauma, orthopedic, and neurological patients in a 16-bed ICU, assisting with monitoring, basic care, and bedside procedures. The role supports early detection and prevention of complications, implements care under nursing direction, and helps orient and educate patients and families. It involves working in a high-acuity hospital environment with continuous physiological monitoring and complex therapies.
