Unit Clerk

This role serves as the unit receptionist, managing patient flow, answering calls, and directing visitors while maintaining a professional and respectful environment. The position involves transcribing physician orders, preparing and maintaining patient charts, and scheduling appointments for consults and diagnostic services. Key duties include managing patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, as well as maintaining unit censuses and ensuring the orderly operation of the patient care unit.
