About this role

The Utilities Engineer serves as the technical owner and subject-matter expert for critical utility and facility systems supporting the MA Bio Campus, including HVAC, high-purity water, and steam systems. Working with limited supervision, the role ensures these systems remain safe, compliant, and reliable while supporting manufacturing operations, maintenance, and regulatory inspections. The position involves leading troubleshooting efforts, managing technical projects, and optimizing system performance and lifecycle strategies.

Responsibilities

Own technical performance and lifecycle strategy for critical utility systems
Lead complex troubleshooting and provide evidence-based assessments for system failures
Develop lifecycle plans and recommendations addressing equipment condition and obsolescence
