About this role

Member of the Ethics Committee on Assisted Reproductive Technology (ECART), which considers, determines and reviews applications for assisted reproductive procedures and human reproductive research under the Human Assisted Reproductive Technology Act 2004. Appointments are made by the Associate Minister of Health for a typical three-year term, with the possibility of one reappointment. Members participate in bi-monthly committee meetings (primarily online with occasional in-person meetings in Wellington) and help ensure committee membership reflects the diversity of New Zealand.
