The Rehabilitation Veterinary Assistant supports the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality patient care to animals undergoing physical rehabilitation and recovery. This role assists with therapeutic exercises, rehabilitation modalities, patient handling, and implementation of daily treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian or RVT. The position plays a vital role in providing competent and compassionate basic care by assisting technicians and therapists with underwater treadmill (UWTM) therapy and other rehabilitation modalities.
Chesapeake Veterinary Surgical Specialists (CVSS) is a Maryland-based veterinary specialty practice and one of the Mid-Atlantic region's most experienced teams of board-certified surgeons, with locations in Annapolis and Hunt Valley. CVSS partners with primary care veterinarians to provide advanced surgical care for companion animals, including soft tissue, orthopedic, oncologic, neurologic, minimally invasive, and cardiac/thoracic procedures. The practice also offers rehabilitation services and supports referring veterinarians and pet owners with resources such as online forms and payment options.
