Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders, MSF) is an international medical humanitarian organization that provides emergency medical care to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, and exclusion from healthcare. MSF deploys doctors, nurses and logistical teams to set up clinics and hospitals, run vaccination and nutrition programs, and deliver surgery, mental-health and maternal-child care in hard-to-reach and high-risk settings. The organization operates independently and impartially, documents crises, and advocates for improved access to medicines and care. MSF is largely donor-funded and relies on a mix of international staff and locally hired teams to deliver rapid, high-impact interventions worldwide.
