About this role

The Viper Business Development Landman Intern will own an assigned summer project focused on mineral and royalty acquisition evaluation, ownership research, and deal diligence. This role supports the team that sources, underwrites, and closes mineral and royalty transactions within the Permian Basin. The intern will work directly with experienced mentors to develop knowledge in all phases of acquisitions and divestitures.

Responsibilities

Own assigned summer project and present completed work to executive team
Research and analyze leases, deeds, and agreements to determine ownership and value
Confirm mineral and royalty ownership through courthouse and division order research

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management/Energy Commerce, Finance, or a related business discipline
