About this role

The Visual Inspection Scientist – Technical Services/Manufacturing Scientist provides technical support to ensure the reliable and compliant manufacture of gene therapy drug products at Lilly's advanced manufacturing facility in Lebanon, Indiana. This role involves day-to-day support for the visual inspection program, including inspection qualification, defect classification, and process monitoring, while collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Quality Assurance, and Engineering. The position requires scientific leadership to maintain global quality standards and support the startup of a greenfield manufacturing site for clinical and commercial supply.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for visual inspection of gene therapy drug products
Support inspection qualification, defect classification, and process monitoring
Train and mentor operators and inspectors on inspection techniques

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacy, Engineering or related scientific field
